Barrett Business Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: BBSI) announces that its application
to The Nasdaq Stock Market to transfer the listing of the Company's common
stock from the National Market tier to the SmallCap Market listing tier has
been accepted, effective at the opening of business on June 20, 2001.
